From a young age I had a desire to help others, and an inward sense that it may be in another country, but it wasn't until I was in my 30's that I sensed the Lord calling me to Africa. Shortly after I gave my life to Jesus, I attended Victory Bible Training Center in Massachusetts, graduating in 1993. In 1993 both my husband and I began to have a specific leading towards Africa, and in 1996 we moved to Botswana along with our youngest son John. Our oldest son Christopher remained pursuing a college degree in the States. I served with my husband in Botswana from 1996 to 2002. In 2002 we returned to the States, but traveled doing missions work in other southern Africa countries until June of 2007 when we settled again in Botswana, this time in Selebi-Phikwe. I now have the pleasure of helping to oversee the construction of Children Of Promise, our orphan project and a dream in the making. Besides taking my place as a supportive wife and helping in the three churches we have established here, I also oversee Ladies Of Virtue & Excellence (an outreach to women).
My early life had its share of trials and tragedies. I was raped at age 14, had cancer when I was 20, was widowed at 34, and despite having wonderful parents suffered in some abusive relationships before that time. I have found that God now uses these experiences to encourage, strengthen and bring healing to other women. I ask for your prayers when you think of me and the Lord's work here.
